(That’s the Jewish term for a great person).I interviewed many plastic surgeons having the luxury of living in NYC and many friends and family in the area who have had work done.When I interviewed another "top" 5th Avenue Plastic Surgeon was rude and insulting. When I met Dr. Aston I found him so warm and personable and his staff so supportive. Given that he is such an elite high profile Dr. I was grateful for his kindness and concern .Initially I had wanted a face lift but he told me honestly that I really didn’t need it. Definitely NOT a salesman. Will only do work he really feels you need.Dr. Aston gave me a rhinoplasty and upper eye lift in 2008. I am a hyper about looking natural. Just before the surgery I was so nervous and he said, "I am going to take great care of you in there", and boy did he! The results were so subtle, the recovery was effortless and the reaction I received was "Somehow you just look prettier but I am not sure what it is", just what I wanted, a gift that keeps on giving! At some point I felt I wanted my nose a touch smaller, nothing he did wrong just I became comfortable with changing slowly. No problem, Dr Aston said the surgery revision will be no additional cost (just any ancillary fees, etc). I couldn’t find the time for a revision but was grateful for the good will and the feeling that he really wants patients to be thrilled with their end results more than milking anyone for money. This truly impressed me.I came back a few years later wanting help with my protruding belly, he explained that from pregnancy I had a lot of loose skin so lipo would not be enough but was concerned because I was having other health issues so wanted to wait until I was fully healthy to perform any surgery. Again, NOT a salesman, he is an honorable doctor concerned about my health primarily.I mistakingly went to a different "top NY Plastic surgeon" for a face and neck lift and a few other different procedures that Dr. Aston didn’t offer so I thought I’d try it. This other surgeon was complaining about me going into the surgery and talking about how much he didn’t like certain procedure while I am on the operating table. (In that moment I missed Dr. Aston who truly took "great care" of me in the OR. Then this other surgeon did not actually provide the other procedure (the entire reason I went to him and not Dr. Aston). When I confronted the other surgeon in a follow up he told me that procedure doesn’t actually turn out so well so he decided against it (even though I paid for it!!!). I told him I should have gone back to Dr. Aston!!!The time has come where I am ready for more work and I have every confidence I will have a most positive experience upon my return to Dr. Aston. More

I became Dr Astons patient as a teenager and then returned as a middle aged man. His staff makes you feel important and Dr Aston is not only the best Plastic Surgeon in New York, but, he is a kind humble gentle man. Wow! I came across this page and had to say something Dr. Aston is nothing short of a plastic surgeon genius! A little over 15 years ago, I lost some weight and was only 38 at the time (I think). My neck started to sag and hang and developed bands and I was devastated, truly!! I could not look at it and got very depressed. Someone referred me to him and he was the nicest and most sincere Dr. (I think I was crying to him pointing out what was happening with my neck). He wa...s very sympathetic but thought maybe I was exaggerating and seeing more than it was and that it was not that bad (for me it was horrible). He said let's wait a while before we consider a face/neck lift. He suggested a chin implant which I was all for if it would help make my neck look better. Well, the chin implant looked great but about one year/year and a half later, I started seeing more sagging in the neck area and I went back to him. I truly wanted it done and told him I will have it done with or without you. lol He agreed to do it (I truly wanted it done). I was 39 or 40 -- can't recall. Everything went so smoothly and when I recovered, I LOOKED AMAZING! He gave me back my life, more confidence than before I needed anything, and truly, I looked better than when I never needed a face lift! Six years ago, Dr. Aston performed a rhinoplasty on me as I had a very large nose and always wanted to have it made smaller and also...I had a very twisted, double deviated septum. It was a long, longer than expected, surgery of 4.5 hours and I ended up having to stay in the hospital overnight because I had a bad reaction to general anesthesia. I ended up with occasional pain in my two front teeth! Bizarre and he had never heard of it happening. Also, the tip of my nose ended up 6 years later with a cherry-type bump. All in all I looked better, butWhen I returned to Dr. Aston to complain about these 2 things about 6 weeks ago, he immediately agreed that he should rectify both issues and scheduled an in-office revision. His staff are and were kind, courteous, receptive and helpful throughout this process. Never once did they tell me I was off base, imagining things or wrong. He did NOT charge me for this revision, for which I am very grateful. It was done promptly and well. I am less than two weeks out from the revision and already my nose looks and feels improved. There are limitations with every nose and I am aware of that, so I don't expect a model nose, but I already look better and can tell my teeth won't hurt anymore so thanks Dr. Aston for your talented hands, your charming way and your wonderful staff! I had rhinoplasty done by Dr Aston in 2011. I may as well have had nothing done, there is no difference whatsoever. It is unbelievable to me, I paid for the pain and discomfort of the experience only, as there were no results at all, nothing. In addition this Dr. acted like his it was just another job, no human element to it, no emotion, on to the next cattle patient for him. I feel bad for those he actually botches. That would be a nightmare, this was just a rip off. I paid for nothing when it came to this rhinoplasty. More

I know 3 girls with flawless nosejobs from him so I consulted with him as well. He was nice and smart but didn't "charm" me like I was used to from other doctors. This scared me but after seeing his work and knowing his incredible reputation, I decided to go through with it. I had a bump on my side profile but it was small and my front was perfect. I wanted a very subtle change - and this is EXACTLY what he gave me. My new nose just looks like I was born with a naturally perfect nose. A Flawless Experience!! - I had my surgery 2 weeks ago and I am so happy with the entire personalized treatment from Dr. Aston and his staff! Nose and Face - Dr. Aston did such a great job when he fixed my nose after an accident last year that I just went back to have my face done. I had an excellent experience with Dr. Aston. He did a rhinoplasty and chin implant for me and the results are beautiful and natural. Furthermore, and very importantly, his grace and patience as well as the competence/kindness of his staff made it a stressfree experience which is saying a lot when it comes to having elective surgery.. There is no such thing as perfect results and uncertainties in outcome are the nature of the beast, but i think he's talented and generally very consistent in getting beautiful results, in my experience as well as that of friends who've used him. He was always available to me pre-op for appointments or by phone. He called the night before to make sure i was alright and see if i had any questions. He's attentive, patient, gracious, talented, and has a wealth of experience. I'm very glad i chose him for my work, and even happier that i still look like myself but more attractive. More
The BEST! - After much thought and research, I finally decided to have a rhinoplasty with Dr. Aston. I was impressed with his comforting manner, his unbeatable experience, and the overall warmth of his office. I love my new nose! It looks better and breathes better. Though it was a HUGE cosmetic change, my friends and family cant quite put their finger on whats different...and thats exactly the reaction I was hoping for!
