Q: I’m not ready to go under the knife with a full face-lift just yet since I am only in my forties, but I just don’t feel like the fillers are doing a great job with the lines around my mouth. Would it be better if I had some type of a lift with facial threading?
A: The company that makes these threads and the doctors who train to use them say that the results last about a year and a half. However, I have not seen a thread lift that beyond 3 months I could tell the difference in the pre-op and post-op pictures.
I have seen thousands and thousands of facelifts, and I think there is a small group of people where threading could provide a very temporary kind of result.
